Document Everything!

It’s time to get all your paperwork filed. This may not be the most glamorous part of your design journey, but it is imperative. The good news is: You only have to do it all once.

1. Set up your tax ID. This process can be accomplished quickly and easily online.
2. Register your business with the state you live in, then open a business banking account. At this point, you’ll also be eligible to claim your Google My Business profile account, increasing your online presence. When building your website, you can connect to a Google profile.
3. Enter all new projects with a contract in hand that a local attorney has reviewed.
