Who Can Join?
Ready to become a DSA Professional Member?
Applicant must meet at least ONE of the following criteria to qualify:
- Three or more years working in the field of interior design or a design-related field
- A degree in interior design or design-related field*, plus one year of full-time practical design experience.
- Have taken and passed RIDQC, RIDE, CHSP, NCIDQ, NKBA, or certification with another nationally recognized interior design exam.

Membership Access and Benefits
All membership benefits will be housed in the new DSA Professional Designer Hub. Additional app access, offers and benefits may require a separate login.
Your DSA Professional Membership includes verified member recognition, a listing in the Find a Designer Directory, educational content, industry insights, CEU rewards, business resources, and exclusive member savings designed to help you grow your design business.
The Professional Designer Hub expands your membership with access to the DSA Connect+ app, real-time networking with fellow designers, virtual events, exclusive industry partner offers, curated business resources, and enhanced opportunities to connect, collaborate, and stay informed.
The DSA Professional Designer membership is renewed annually.

Membership Details and Eligibility
Designers currently working in the field and offering interior design services professionally may apply. Eligibility is based on your practice—not licensure or accreditation—making this membership accessible to a broad range of qualified professionals.
The DSA Professional Designer Membership is $295 annually.
DSA welcomes designers at every stage of their professional journey. If you meet at least one of the Professional Membership eligibility requirements, you’ll have access to resources, education, and a supportive community to help you continue growing your business and career.
Our eligibility requirements help maintain the integrity and professionalism of the DSA community. By verifying that members meet established qualifications, we strengthen the credibility of the DSA designation while fostering a trusted network of interior design professionals.
Membership Transfer and Holds
No, each Professional Designer membership is tied to your individual name and professional identity.
We do not currently offer a hold or pause option. However, members can choose not to renew and may rejoin at any time through the standard application process.
Cancellation and Refunds
DSA memberships are non-refundable. Once activated, your benefits and access begin immediately.
No. Membership dues are non-refundable once your application has been processed.
Yes. Access to DSA Pro benefits, including the app and related content, is tied to an active DSA Professional Designer Membership.
Member-Only Content and Support
Yes, all of the resources and offers within the hub are for members only. New content is always in the works, so make sure to check in with the resource hub often.
